Accessibility Controls

Improve the usage, accessibility, and inclusivity of ServiceDesk Plus in accordance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines. Configure Accessibility Controls under the Profile icon and enable controls for the same in the application footer.

 

Once enabled, you can use the Accessibility Controls icon at the footer to invoke the configuration.

Configurations in Accessibility Controls

Under Accessibility Controls, the configurations are grouped under three sections: Vision, Hearing, and Mobility.

 

Vision

Under Vision, you have the following configurations:

Increased Contrast: Helps improve the overall legibility of the text by increasing the contrast.

Focus Ring: Helps add a border to elements with keyboard focus.

Underline Links: Helps increase the visibility of hyperlinks with an underline.

Display Font Size: Helps adjust the font size to improve readability.

 

Hearing

Under Hearing, you have the following configurations.

Screen Reader: Narrates the screen content along with visual captions. For Windows, use: Ctrl + Window + Enter. For Mac, use: Command + F5.

Skip to Main Content: Helps bypass repeated elements and reach the main content of the page.

 

Mobility

Under Mobility, you have the following options:


Reduce Motions: Helps optimize animations and transitions across the application.

Hover Item: Displays mouse hover content by default.

Emphasize Focus Area: Adds a border to the clickable area.

Custom Cursor: Helps resize cursors to make them more trackable.

Custom Scroll bar: Adds a compact scroll bar that indicates scroll position while navigating.
