Introduction to Assets

An asset is any item that is purchased and used by an organization to deliver IT services. ServiceDesk Plus provides an organized approach to add, track, maintain, and manage ownership of all assets throughout their life cycle.

You can manage IT, non-IT, and software components, along with their financial and contractual data, to provide an optimized and compliant IT environment.

You can scan all workstations within your network, generate and scan barcodes/QR codes, loan assets, book assets, sync CIs in ServiceDesk Plus as assets, and import assets via XLS, XLSX, or CSV files.

Additionally, you can set replenishment thresholds for all IT and non-IT assets to ensure timely purchases before inventory depletes and initiate license upgrades for assets.

Click Assets on the header to access the assets module. Assets and components are categorized in a hierarchical structure - Products are groups under product types. Use the navigation pane on the left to view the assets categorized under the product types.
