Print Labels

Print or test barcodes/QR codes without assigning them to assets. This allows you to validate label properties before generating codes for assets.

Role Required: SDAdmin or users with Add/Edit/View Inventory permissions.

To print labels, go to Assets > Barcode/QR code > Generate Code > Configure and Print Labels.

Select the code generation method: Manual or Sequential.

Manual Method

Allows you to enter custom values and convert them into barcodes/QR codes.

To print codes manually,

• Generation Method: Select Manual. This is selected by default.

• Enter Codes: Enter the values to be converted into codes. Use commas to separate multiple values.

• Code Type: Select the code type: Barcode or QR Code.

• Label Property: Select a label property or click to create a label property.

• Click Continue to Print.

 

• The Preview and Print section displays the label preview.

• To continue, click Print. You can use Test Print to print the first row of the label.

Unclear labels are highlighted in yellow and cannot be scanned properly. You can remove them by selecting the Remove barcodes/QR codes that cannot be scanned properly checkbox.

 

Sequential Method

Generates consecutive barcodes/QR codes based on the Starting From value.

To print codes sequentially,

• Generation Method: Select Sequential.

• Prefix: Enter a value. You can use alphanumeric or special characters.

• Starting From: Enter the value from which code generation must begin.

• Count: Specify the number of codes to generate.

• Suffix: Enter a value. You can use alphanumeric or special characters.

• Code Type: Select the code type: Barcode or QR Code.

• Label Property: Select a label property or click to create a label property.

• Click Continue to Print.

 

 

• The Preview and Print section displays the label preview.

• Click Print. You can use Test Print to print the first row of the label.

Print Labels from Asset List View

You can bulk print labels from the asset list view. To do this,

• Go to the asset list view.

• Select the required assets.

• Click Actions > Print Barcode/QR Code.

• Select the label property.

• Click Print.
