Copy Change
Create a new change request by duplicating an existing or similar change request.
Use Case: Recurring changes in an organization can be logged instantly into the service desk by copying the existing change details.
Role Required: Technicians with Create Change permissions.
- Go to the change request details and select Actions > Copy.
- In the slide-out window, select the change details to be copied.
- Click Next.

- Edit the Submission stage details of the copied change, if needed.
- Click Copy.

The following change details will not be copied:
- Date/Time additional fields
- Deleted field values
- Inactive values and system date field values
- Changes with invalid templates
- Conversations, approval history, and notes
Approval levels will not be copied if the change is associated with a workflow.
Tasks under the copied change will be marked until they are triggered.
