Using this option, you can change the existing type of the software, say, from Shareware to Managed. You can change the software type either from the software list view page or from the software details page.
Change Software Type from Software List View
Navigate to Software List View (Assets->Software->Scanned Software).
Select one or more software of your choice using the checkbox(es).
Now, select the preferred Software Type from Change Software Type drop-down menu.
Change Software Type from the Software Details page
Change the software type for individual software using this option,
From the Software list view page, select the software of your choice.
In the Software Details Page, click Edit button.
In the edit dialog box, select your preferred software type.
Finally, click Save.
