Classify users within an instance into various user groups.
In site-based implementation, grouping users is essential to prevent them from accessing certain entities, such as service request items, solutions, announcements, and request templates.
Let's say if maintenance is scheduled for the Chicago site firewall gateway, only users at that site are affected. Therefore, to notify only the affected users, you can create a user group for Chicago site users, and target the announcement to that group.
You can group users based on default user fields, such as Name, Department, Site, Domain, etc., and user additional fields.

Criteria |
Define the user group criteria based on User fields: • Use the drop-downs to select the required user fields, condition, and values. • Use the plus icon to add multiple criteria. • Switch between AND and OR logical operators to group users who meet all or any condition. • Use the Add Nested • Drag and drop conditions to rearrange their validation logic. |
