Personalize

You can personalize your profile picture, display language, time zone, navigation menu, change font, change color theme, change your login password, generate API key, or manage two-factor authentication.

Upload/delete profile picture:

Click the profile icon on the top-right corner and do one of the following:

The picture can be in .jpg, .png, .jpeg, .bmp formats. Note that the file size should not exceed 5MB. 


                                                   
 

 

Personalization, Changing Password, and API Key Generation

  1. Click the user profile icon at the top-right corner.



     

  2. Select Personalize/Change Password/Generate API Key. This opens a pop-up window with the appropriate tab selected.                                                

Personalize

The Personalize tab consists of display language, time zone, data format, time format, and e-mail signature.

For Example: While creating a request, the request created on and due by time will be displayed in the selected date and time format corresponding to the selected time zone. The same can be viewed under Problem, Change, Solution and Purchase modules.




Change Password


You can view and reset two passwords under this section.

 

 

Notification Tones

Notification tones enable you to configure instance specific tones for important events in the application, which help you identify the corresponding helpdesk and take necessary action.

 

You can configure notification tones for the following:

 

To configure notification tones,

  1. Click the account icon at the top right corner.

  2. Click Notification Tones.

 

 

  1. In the displayed pop up, select the required tone for each action from the corresponding drop-down.

 

 

  1. Click beside a field to preview the selected tone.

  2. Click Save.

 

Notification Preferences

Technicians can choose the events they wish to be notified about and how they receive those notifications, via email or push. This ensures they stay updated on key actions and tasks and respond promptly.
To allow technicians to customize notification preferences, SDAdmins should enable the Allow technicians to modify their notification preferences option.
This option can be enabled from the following locations:

 

Managing Notification Preferences

After the admin permission is enabled, technicians can manage their notification preferences by following these steps:

 

Only technicians with View permission for modules can see notifications related to that module.
Email notifications will be enabled for technicians only if they are enabled under Notification Rules.  

 

 

Generate API Key

Under this tab, you can generate an API Key that can be used for third-party integrations.

To generate the key,

  1. Select the expiry option: a) Never Expires or b) Choose a date for the Expires on option

  2. Click Generate.

 

 

Personalize Navigation Menu

You can personalize the navigation menu by choosing different styles like Topbar, Sidebar, and Sidebar Lite.

To choose a style,

  1. Click the user icon on the upper-right corner.

  2. Under Layout Personalization, choose your preferred Navigation Menu: Topbar, Sidebar, or Sidebar Lite.

 Personalize Color and Font 


You can customize the application's color and font based on your choice. Color customization is available for selected tab background, primary button background, navigation menu background, and tabs line color. Font selection is common for all UI texts.

To modify color and font:

  1. Click the user profile icon on the top-right corner.

  2. Using the font drop-down list select the preferred font. Also, select your preferred color.

 

 

Complete color customization requires SDAdmin role. For technicians without SDAdmin role, only the preset colors are available.
You can customize colors and fonts only when the administrator has enabled the necessary permission.
