Global Variables
Global variables are placeholders used to store abstract data common to the organization. You can invoke global variables where placeholders are invoked, such as notifications and webhooks, using the dollar sign ($).
Role Required: SDOrgAdmin or SDAdmin
Add Global Variables
Global variables are created and stored under groups.
- Go to Admin > Developer Space > Global Variables.
- Click New.
- Add a unique name for the variable group. This is mandatory.
- Describe the variable group usage.
- Specify a name for the variable and add its value. The variable name should be unique in a group.
- Use Toggle to encrypt the values.
- Click
to add multiple variables in a group.
- Click Save or Save and Add New.
The name field cannot contain spaces or special characters.

List View Actions
You can preview, edit, and delete global variables from the list view page.
- Click
to edit or delete variables groups.
- To bulk delete, select the variable groups and click
on the toolbar.
- Click
beside a group name to expand a variable group and preview the variables configured.
You can create up to 50 variable groups with a maximum of 10 variables in each group.

Global variables are specific to service desk instances.
