Nagios XI is an IT infrastructure monitoring application that can be used to monitor servers, network equipment, services, and applications through the use of built-in capabilities and third-party extensions and addons. Nagios XI sends notifications to configured users when a problem occurs with the monitored devices or applications.
When Nagios XI is integrated with ServiceDesk Plus, the devices managed by Nagios XI are synced with ServiceDesk Plus in the CMDB module.
You can integrate Nagios XI with ServiceDesk Plus by using the Nagios XI APIs in custom scripts and executing them via custom schedules. For example, you can sync all hosts managed by Nagios XI with ServiceDesk Plus using the GET config/host endpoint. To access the API reference for Nagios XI, sign in to the application as an admin, and click Help.

The API authentication is performed using an API key. To generate an API key, sign in to an Nagios XI as an admin, and click the username on the top-right corner, and click Generate new API key on the displayed account information page.

Create custom scripts using the required API endpoints along with the APK key and save the file under <ServiceDesk_Plus_Home>/integration/custom_scripts.
Finally, create a custom schedule in ServiceDesk Plus under Admin > Automation > Custom Schedules with Execute Script as action and select the custom script created for Nagios XI integration.

Once the custom schedule is created, the data from Nagios Xi will be synced to ServiceDesk Plus periodically.
