Technician/Requester home page customization

You can now customize the technician's home page by adding/organizing widgets, adding new tabs, and changing the layout style and background color. Embed your organization’s resource page or intranet page on the home page via the external widget addition option.

Note: This feature is available only in the enterprise edition. 

To customize the technician's home page,

  1. Go to the Home page.

  2. Click the +New drop-down to add a new tab or widget.

  1. New Tab: Create a new custom tab with default and external widgets to be displayed on the technician's home page. Click the +New drop-down and select New Tab

    3.1: Accessibility: Choose the accessibility for the tab. You have the following options: Private(Visible only to the admin who created), Public (Visible to all users), and Shared (Visible only to the shared users).

    3.2: Add Widgets to tab: Select and add existing widgets or external widgets to the tab. You can also Embed URLs, HTML files, or other files as an external widget.

3.3: Share tabs with Technicians, Roles, Support Groups & Organization Roles.

 

3.4: Additionally, you can customize the My Summary widget columns for each tab.

 

3.5: Click Add to save the tab configuration.

 

4. New Widget: Add default or new widgets to the home page. Click +New drop-down and select New Widget.


4.1: Select the widgets that you want to add to the homepage.




 
  

4.2: External widgets help you to include your organization’s intranet/knowledge base or other information-related pages on the home page.

To add external widgets, choose External widgets while adding a new widget. You can also Embed URLs, HTML files, or other files as an external widget.
 


4.3: Click Add.
