Create pre-defined templates for work logs that are repeated. These templates can be used by technicians while adding a work log to a request, problem, change, release, and task.
To add a new work log Template,
Go to Admin > Templates & Forms > Work Log Template.

Click the
button from the work log template list page.

Specify a unique Name and Description for the work log template. Name is a mandatory field.
Adding Fields: Add fields from the Available Fields list in the left pane to the template.
You can also add a new field instantly from the left pane. Drag and drop an existing field from the field list to the canvas. You can also add a new field by clicking the
icon. You can add fields of type single line text, multi-line text, numeric, decimal, pick list, multi-select, radio, checkbox, and date/time.
Under properties in the displayed window, provide a name and a description of the field, enter the character limit, and set a default value if required. You can also encrypt a field that may contain user's personal information. For fields with multiple options, provide all the values. Click Save.

Adding Sections: You can also add a new section from the left pane. Drag and drop a new section from the field list to the canvas by clicking
. You can add sections of type single column, double column, three columns, four columns, and flexible column.

Edit Field: Hover over the required field and click
to edit the field. Under the Properties tab, you can only modify the default value, help text, and mark the field as mandatory. Click Save after making the necessary changes.
Edit Section: Hover over the required section and click
. You can modify the section details under the Properties tab and change the look and feel of the section under the Customization tab. Click Save once you have made the necessary changes.
Move Fields/Sections: You can rearrange the fields and sections by using a simple drag-and-drop method.
Delete Field/Section: To delete a field/section, hover over the required field/section and click
.
Use the Customization option at the top right to modify form width, font used in sections and labels, label placement, and the background color of labels and forms.

Click Save.
From the work log list view, you can click on the Actions icon
beside each template to perform the following actions:

Edit: Use the edit option to modify the template.
Set as default: Use this option to set a template as the default template for users.
Delete: Delete the work log template. You can bulk delete templates by selecting multiple templates using the check box and clicking Delete.
When you delete a work log template that is being used in a work log, it will be moved to the Inactive work log template list. You can move templates from the Inactive work log template list by marking them as active.
All the newly created templates and the ones being used will be listed under the Active work log template list.
